On April 23, 2010, Phil Woods (72 years young) began his second Walk Across America. Averaging a marathon’s worth

of miles per day, he expects to complete

his 2,500 north-south journey from

the Canadian border in International Falls, Minnesota, to Key West, Florida, in 6 months.

His goal is simple: to create a better America by inspiring all of us to get moving—

to take better care of ourselves and better

care of one another. It starts with one step.
